<\/a><\/p>\nIn the evening of 20 April 2019<\/strong>, His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche graced the lamp-lighting ceremony, at Gaiety Theatre, Shimla, to mark the Third Anniversary of the founding of Kinnaur-Lahaul-Spiti Bodh Sewa Sangh, Shimla.<\/p>\n His Eminence Rinpoche formally launched some books, and conferred felicitation certificates to the organisation\u2019s members. Thereafter, His Eminence Rinpoche, as requested, gave a talk on the theme of \u201cDependent Arising\u201d and answered questions.<\/p>\n Present at the talk were dignitaries from the Himachal Pradesh state government, professors, writers, judges and advocates, teachers, students, and others.<\/p>\n On 21 April 2019<\/strong>, His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche gave, in the main congregation hall of Dorjedrak Monastery, Shimla, a public talk on the requested theme of \u201cThe three trainings\u2014Morality, Meditative Concentration and Wisdom,\u201d and answered questions at the end. The President of Kinnaur-Lahaul-Spiti Bodh Sewa Sangh, Shimla, as the organisers of the talk, gave a speech of gratitude to His Eminence Rinpoche. The talk was attended by Kinnauri, Lahuali and Spiti Buddhist devotees of the area, and local Tibetan devotees and others as well.<\/p>\n Upon knowing of His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche\u2019s visit to Shimla, the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla, requested His Eminence Rinpoche to give, as part of their Distinguished Lecture Series, a lecture on the theme of \u201cThe power of Dharma in contemporary world\u201d.
