The Teaching at Gyutoe Monastery, Successfully Concluded

August 22, 2014 | Filed under: News

The Twenty days teaching by the Professor Samdhong Rinpoche was successfully concluded on 15th April, 2014. The teaching was started on 26th March 2014 and there were around 1000 attendants including monks from Gyutoe monastery and other followers.

S Rinpoche teaching 2Rinpoche said that it was an unbelievable experience and a great honor to get the chance of teaching in such an esteemed Buddhist institute. He believes that the Gyutoe monastery is a very special and auspicious place unlike any other monasteries. He also thanked the organizer of the teaching for the utmost preparation and services provided for all the attendants.

Rinpoche also thanked and appreciated for the offerings and sponsors made by the Drakyab Rinpoche, Nyagrong Khentrul Rinpoche, Trustee of Gaden Photang and all the other individuals and institutions.

Rinpoche also spoke about the ultimate goal of the life and how to live a meaningful life. He said “we should always listen, analyze and study to live a meaningful life. These days everyone in the monastery studies the teachings of Buddha, and if we analyze, meditate and practice his teachings in our daily life, we will surely have a meaningful life”.

S Rinpoche Teaching“Chinese authorities always try to destroy our religion and language as they believe that these are the root cause that separates the Tibet from China. The prayers of the most of the self immolators were return of His Holiness to Tibet and preservation of our unique culture and religion, therefore preserving the Buddhism by studying and understanding its true meaning and promoting it by teaching it to the world is the greatest contribution one can give to Tibet and its people”.

“The physical richness of material is impermanent it may last for years but when you die you cannot take them with you, if we always play politics everywhere it might help a little for our cause but its small and last only for short period of time. Therefore studying and practicing Buddhism is very important to have a meaningful life”, he added.

On the final day of the teaching they offer a long life prayer to Rinpoche and His Holiness the Dalai Lama to have a long life and prosper their noble deeds.
