Teachings in South Korea
In the morning of 9 October 2019, His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche departed Dharamshala, and travelling via Delhi, arrived at South Korean city Busan’s airport.
From 12 October 2019 until 15 October 2019, for four days, His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche gave teachings on Sadharmapundarika-sutra, The Sublime Teaching White Lotus Discourse’s Prelude Chapter, Skilfulness Chapter, Metaphor Chapter, Tathagatha’s Body Measurement Chapter, and Avalokiteshvara Emanated Manifestations Display Through All Doors Chapter.
Requested and organised by Institute of Nalanda Buddhism, based in Gyeongju, South Korea, the teachings, daily two sessions, were convened in the congregation hall of Hwang Nyong Won.
His Eminence Prof. Rinpoche also answered questions.
At the second session of the final day of these teachings His Eminence Prof. Rinpoche bestowed Upasaka/Upasika Vow (Lay precepts Vow) and Bodhisattva Vow.
In the evening of 17 October 2019, His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche visited the popular Yangdong Folk Village, situated near Gyeongju, South Korea.
In the evening of 18 October 2019, at the request of and organising by Korea Tibet Centre, based in Busan, South Korea, His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche bestowed, in the congregation hall of the Centre, Going for Refuge Vow and Bodhisattva Vow, besides giving a teaching, by explaining as well the verse of Going for Refuge and Generating Enlightenment Mind. At the completion of the teachings, His Eminence Prof. Rinpoche headed to Pale De Cz Hotel.
On 19 and 20 October 2019, His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche gave a public talk on the requested theme of “The way of viewing towards death”, in the hall of Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation, Busan, South Korea. His Eminence Prof. Rinpoche also answered questions. The talk was organised jointly by the Institute of Nalanda Buddhism, Gyeongju, South Korea, and Chayong Temple, South Korea.
In the morning of 21 October 2019, His Eminence Prof. Rinpoche departed Busan city and via Delhi, arrived in Dharamshala on 22 October.
