Teachings in South Korea

Organised by Institute of Nalanda Buddhism, South Korea, from 13 December 2018 until 16 December 2018, His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche gave commentarial teachings on Jey Tsongkhapa’s An Experiential Song on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment, at Hwangnyongwon congregation hall, in Gyeongju, South Korea.

In the afternoon of 16 December 2018, His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche gave a guidance talk on the theme of “The importance of Lamrim (the stages of the path to enlightenment) during studies into Buddhist teachings”, to the nuns of Unmunsa Nunnery for Buddhist studies and practice, in Cheongdo County, Gyeongbuk Province, South Korea. The talk was organised and facilitated by Institute of Nalanda Buddhism, South Korea.

On 17 December 2018, His Eminence Prof. Rinpoche visited Hwangnyongwon Temple, Cheongdo County, South Korea. His Eminence also visited the renowned Bulguksa Temple and the blessed Buddha image in Gyeongju.

In the afternoon of 18 December 2018, His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche gave a public talk on the requested theme of “The importance of the combined path of method and wisdom, for practising Buddhist tantra,” at Buryunsa Temple, in the capital city Seoul, South Korea. His Eminence also answered questions.

In the afternoon of 19 December 2018, His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche gave a commentarial teaching on Jey Tsongkhapa’s The Three Principal Aspects of the Path, at Labsum Shedrupling Tibetan Temple (Gem Place for Teaching and Practising of the Three Traininings), in Seoul. At the conclusion of the commentarial teaching His Eminence bestowed Bodhisattva Vow.
