Talks in Delhi
In the morning of 8 December 2019, His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche departed Dharamshala and arrived in Delhi.
In the evening His Eminence was invited to the place where Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated. Shri Laxmi Das, a renowned follower of Gandhi, narrated how the assassination took place. Thereafter, organised by Delhi-based organisations Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, and convened in the hall of the former organisation, His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche gave the first of the series of talks of ‘Gandhi Smriti Peace and Nonviolence Lecture Series’, as a part of the programmes celebrating 150th Anniversary of Gandhi’s Birth. A large number of Gandhi followers attended the talk.
On 9 December 2019, His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche gave a talk at the ‘One day discourse on a Gandhi Path for a Global Nonviolent Planet: Strategies of Action for a Culture of Peace’, convened in Tagore Hall. There also took place active discussions by the delegates comprising of educationists, intellectuals and practitioners.
In the morning of 10 December 2019, His Eminence departed Delhi, and via Ahmedabad and Hubbali, arrived at Mungod.
