Talks around Dharamshala in February 2018

In the afternoon of 22 February 2018 His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche gave a guidance advice to the ordained novices (sramaner) of Drepung Loseling Phukhang Khangtsen and Pomra Khangtsen, who have come to Dharamshala to receive bhiksu vows from His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The talk was requested by the ordained novices.

In the afternoon of 24 February 2018 His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche graced as the Chief Guest at the formal launch of Shri Ajay Parashar’s book Expression of Silence (मौन की अभिव्यक्ति); His Eminence Rinpoche gave a talk on the occasion.

The poet Ajay Parashar is the deputy director in the department of public relations, government of Himachal Pradesh. Present at the book launch were many Indian dignitaries comprising of renowned poets, philosophers, writers, residing around Dharamshala, and others.

In the morning of 26 February 2018 His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche formally inaugurated the newly built residential complex—named, Remoche-nyipai Chang-gyab Khangsar, The Second Ramoche’s New Mansion to the Rear of the Eucalyptus—for the elders of Gyuto Monastery, Dharamshala. His Eminence Rinpoche also gave a guidance talk. Present at the inauguration and the talk were officials from Central Tibetan Administration, the elders and officials of Gyuto Monastery, benefactors, and others.

At the request of Tibetan Children’s Village School, Gopalpur, Dharamshala, in the morning of 28 February 2018 His Eminence Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche gave a guidance talk on the requested theme of Secular Ethics, to the teachers and staff members of the school. His Eminence Rinpoche also answered questions.
