Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche’s recent visits
Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche left for Delhi on 31st January 2016 and in the evening gave a speech at World Peace Conference at Satyagraha Mandap, Gandhi Darshan, Rajghat, New Delhi.
It was organised by Murari Bapu, the famous Ramkatha speaker. Many religious leaders also delivered talks and observers attended the same.
From 1st to 3rd February 2016, Rinpoche had medical check-up and treatment done at Apollo, Delhi.
On 6th February, Rinpoche delivered a speech as Chief Guest in International Seminar titled “Buddhism and Indian culture” organised by Balram Mahavidyalaya, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India on 6th February 2016. Professors, Teachers, Research Scholars etc. attended the Seminar.
From 12-16 February 2016, Rinpoche gave a guidance advice and had dialogue with a group of thinkers, educationists and social activists at SIDH Institute, near Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. In the morning, there took place discussion on selected quotations from Prof. A. K. Saran’s book, “Illuminations”. In the evening, a discussion was held on Modernity, Tradition etc. and thereafter Rinpoche gave a talk on “Purity of Mind”. The gathered did a meditation prior to the day’s conclusion.
On the morning of 17th February 2016, Rinpoche performed a consecration ceremony of the Library of Tarabling, Dehradun. In the evening, Rinpoche left for Delhi.
On 18th February 2016, Rinpoche gave time to meet people needing guidance, and fulfilled their wishes, by giving answers and directions.
On the morning of 19th February 2016, Rinpoche gave time to meet some people. In the evening, Rinpoche chaired the Book Discussion on Essential Writings of Shri Dharampal at India International Centre, Delhi. The panelists consisted of Professors, Writers, Educationists, Social activists etc. Many scholars also attended the same as audiences. It was organised by Prof. Gita Dharampal, daughter of late Prof. Dharampal.
On the morning of 20th February 2016, Rinpoche met renowned Homeopathy Doctor Kalyan Banerjee for check up and medicines. In the evening Rinpoche gave a lecture on “Meaning of Life and Meaningful Life” under Buen Vivir Dialogue Series at India International Centre, Delhi. He also answered the questions. Many scholars attended the lecture. It was organised by Harit Swaraj Samvad, Sidh, Pravasi Jan Manch and Gandhi Peace Foundation.
On 21st February 2016, Rinpoche gave a speech in the Workshop of Training of Trainers, organised by Ayur Gyan Nyas. In the evening, Rinpoche participated in the meeting of Management Committee of Ayur Gyan Nyas.
On 22nd February 2016, Rinpoche gave time to some people needing guidance, and fulfilled their wishes, by giving answers and directions.
On 23rd February 2016, Rinpoche returned safely to Dharamsala.
