Oṁ Svasti!
Merely by recalling and saying Your name
One becomes victorious over all outer and inner factors of death,
Bestower of longevity and pristine wisdom,
O Transcended Mother, Wish-fulfilling Wheel (Cittāmaṇi White Tārā),
Kindly bestow the splendour of eternity!1
Through retaining and preserving the Teachings
Of The Great Minded, Fourth Guide of the fortunate era,2
You lift the victory-banner of the stainless system of the teachings:
To You, greatly inspiring Lama, I make the supplication.
The golden mast of the marvellous bodhicitta-generation is firm,
The sails of extensive-learning are billowing well;
Upon their tip is the radiant gem-top of reflection and meditation:
May You please remain living long3 as the great Illuminator of the teachings.
The container for the entire trainings on meditative-concentration
and wisdom,
The sole inner treasury of The Able One’s [teachings is the Vinaya],
on being subdued:
May You please remain living long for hundreds of aeons,
as a great Vinaya Holder, akin to Upālī.4
Through Your greatly sharp weapon of explaining, dialectics and writings,
The darting of crawler’s tongue of the ignorant intoxicated
Are brought as adversaries, thus skilfully giving to the embodied beings
the life of permanent happiness:
May You please remain living long as a great Life-Sustainer.
O Protector, the realm of swirling liquid-crystal (moon)
Of Your adeptness, inspiration and nobility, is fully augmented,
Emitting forth hundred thousands of soothing accomplishment rays
of experiences and realizations:
May You please remain living long as the great remover
of the wandering beings’ torments.
By the marvellous blessings of Victors (Buddhas) and Scions (bodhisattvas),
By the truth of the infallible dependent-link-arising,
By the power of the purity of my [benevolent] exalted thought,
May all contents of aspirations made [above] instantly soon actualize.
