Teachings at Drepung Monastery, southern India
Starting from October 23, 2014, for two days, His Eminence Kyabjey Samdhong Rinpoche kindly gave experiential commentarial teachings on The Hundreds of Deities of Tushita (Gadhen Lhagyama), at Drepung Loseling new Main Hall, Mundgod, as requested by Tulku Association of Drepung Loseling.
On the morning of October 25, 2014, Drepung Loseling Monastery and Tulku Association of Drepung Loseling jointly offered to His Eminence Rinpoche offered an extensive Tenshuk (Formal Request to Kindly Live Long, for the welfare of the teachings and all sentient beings).
In the afternoon of that day, Rinpoche kindly started the commentarial teaching on Nagarjuna’s The Fundamental Wisdom, annotating with Acharya Buddhapalita’s Commentary, as requested by Drepung Loseling Monastery. This commentarial teaching is to continue next year, with schedule to finalize later.
During these teachings at Drepung Main Hall, those attending included the Honourable Abbot and the Former Abbots of Drepung Loseling Monastery, Reincarnate Tulkus, Sangha Congregation, ordained scholars from Drepung Gomang, Gadhen Shartse and Jangtse, Sera Jey and Mey, Gyudme Tantric Monastery, Gyuto Tantric Monastery, Jangchub Choeling Nunnery nuns, lay devotees from the local Tibetan settlement.
On the morning of October 26, 2014, His Eminence Kyabjey Samdhong Rinpoche kindly inaugurated the newly built Hall of Drepung Tsawa Khamtsen. At this ceremony, Rinpoche gave a greatly inspiring and profound guidance advices.
From October 27, 2014, for the next six days, His Eminence Rinpoche kindly taught The Lamp of the Path to Enlightenment, written by Atisha; the teachings were given at Drepung Tsawa Khamtsen, who requested for the same.
On the morning of November 2, 2014, Drepung Tsawa Khamtsen offered a Tenshuk, requesting Rinpoche to kindly live long.
